Every time I visit a new city and I'm driving through their neighborhoods, I make an effort to spot different cultural shops,... stores or restaurants and this little Mexican Carniceria was quite surprising. I was expecting to find your typical taqueria inthe back of the store, but I was excited to find that they also sold raspados! I was super excited because ever since I movedout of LA and to Atlanta, I have not been able to have a raspado in many years. It was really good and it reminded me of home,but I was a bit disappointed when they didn't have any vanilla flavor and had to get a half coco and half strawberry. They alsoprovided the "La Lechera" brown drizzle instead of the original "Carnation" white condensed milk, but in all, it wasgood. Lastly, I did order a chicharron quesadilla, but the chicharron was a bit soft, instead of crispy, but overall it had agood flavor and it was huge! So I highly suggested come with an empty stomach. smh i paid 30 bucks for 3 pounds of barbcoa the res an when i got home it was not what i wanted an it had bones it an all kind... of different meat. I know the guy understood what i wanted because I spoke spanish to him an he said ok. When i got home anopened it up it wasnt what i paid for smh. If you go please dont order any meat from the back . OUT of all the things about this store for one it is way over priced as something simple as a cucumber. Second of all we got a... Roastery Chicken from them (after a long day) only to get home & have a rotten chicken at our dinner table. We went back thenext day and explained the situation. With let alone a very unsatisfactory response. They?re wasn?t an apology let alone arefund giving at all. Very disappointed. Don?t recommend employees are very rude as well. Read more

I have been coming here for over 2 years now because This is the only supermarket where I can find the freshest meats, best... prices and the nicest people. I have been to others in the Charleston area and can say none of them come close to the experienceI have at the Esperanza. The employees are always friendly, the warm foods always exceed my expectations wether it?s tacos,quesadillas, their steaks or even if it?s their delicious fresh pork rings. Best I?ve ever had. Truly best cuts of meats that Iknow , I come here knowing the meats get freshly cut daily rather than a Walmart or food lion where I can?t see or know anythingwith the meat. They have beer and items that I can?t find anywhere else in common butcheries or stores in Charleston. This placehas the best authentic Hispanic foods and products. At this store I went to the butcher and asked that they give me 2 pounds of cheese to start me off. The butchers hurry up and... when I ordered my cheese from the butcher the remaining cheese fell out and so he put it back in the refrigerator I did not wantto say anything but the truth is that I do not think it is anything hygienic because he put it in front of us like he don'tcare. love this store I am able to find everything I need, especially the tropical Dominican queso di frier and domican sausage, ... They have everything Mexican I could ever need.
