This is a hardcore Italian restaurant. The atmosphere reminded me of a mix of a New York basement with the European flair... California offers. We had a large party and we had some add-ons to our meals. I asked if they could put sausage and bellatomatoes in my chicken alfredo. First time at Fratelli's and wow were we impressed! Busy dinner rush, and the entire staff busted their humps to provide... excellent service and delicious food. Meatballs and antipasto salad - along with the complimentary bread served with pesto -pretty much filled us before our pomodoro and lasagna arrived. This is our go to Italian restaurant. Far better than any spot in San Diego we’ve been to! From the Cesar salad (definitely... add salmon or shrimp!) with the exquisite dressing to the eggplant parm or lasagna, the food is absolutely excellent. Theservice is fantastic. Fratelli's Pizza is BACK! A night out at Fratelli's was a regular extended family event for us, which included their tasty... pizzas, right down to our grandson! Imagine our surprise the night we returned to our favorite booth (corner) and favoriteserver (Victor) when informed only flat bread pizza was on the menu. In fact it ended a family tradition for us for over twomonths. Recently we were inticed to return - if only for their Wednesday night half off on a bottle of wine - and saw thattraditional pizza was back. Eager to see how the Fratelli's pizza recipe had weathered the hiatus, we returned to our oldhaunt. They actually have reworked how the product is created and much to their credit the "new" version is even more tasty! Still the small crust with lots of ingredients coming together in an improved, tasty treat! We are excited to have ourtraditional Fratelli's experience back on our schedule. ENJOY! I was charged $108 last night for five people to eat I ordered a salad with no meat on it just cheese and three croutons and two... itty-bitty olives and 280 bitty tomatoes not even bite-size and they charge me $15 I asked the waiter how much it was gonna behe mumbled something cheap and my daughter ordered fettuccine Alfredo it’s at $18 on a menu when I got the receipt as I’mlooking at it the receipt says $24 her friend ordered spaghetti and one meatball and that was $18 my son ordered lasagna thatwas $28 and her friend ordered pizza this meal came up to $108 I cannot understand why it was way more expensive than a fivestar restaurant at best it would be a three and I say that because how can the menu say one thing and be charged another andthere’s no prices on the menu if you’re gonna pay this much for Italian food you might as well go to an authentic place andgo to Olive Garden I’m very upset that they charge this much for five people to eat absolutely ridiculous never coming back.
