I have always loved this restaurant, the food and atmosphere are amazing. Just wanted to leave this review today, because I was... so pleased with their generosity. My friend and I went to Iguana at lunch. I am leaving for a trip at the end of the week, andhave been wearing a mask, as I don't want to chance catching covid before I get on the plane. When I told the hostess myconcern about being away from the general crowd at the restaurant, she was so sweet, and sat us at a completely isolated table. It was really kind. Great staff, awesome atmosphere! I loved all 3 different tacos I had and fantastic guac! A few things were off (such as very... watery salsa and the queso being just kind of like nacho sauce). But I do think their elevated tacos are worth coming for! Theybring the SPICE with their specialty salsas. Read more
We had a great time at Iguana's. I had never been to this place before. My wife and I are always on the look out for good... Mexican food. The food was good. I had a Barbacoa Chimichanga. It was a little on the smallish side but very good. It was friesjust enough so that it isn't greasy. The beans were moist and flavorful as well. I totally forgot to tale photos of our plates.All I have are the resulting dirty dishes. I suppose empty plates are a good sign. Fun environment with nice paotings in thewall. It is also located in the Automobile District here in OKC. There is a lot cool things to see and do in this area. Read more
Great atmosphere, service & food! Hubs and I got three tacos, elote, and pineapple with tajin this hit the spot. We added a... flight of margaritas which didn't disappoint. Chips and freshly made salsa were delicious. Read more
We had the fish & shrimp tacos. We were there on a Monday night. For some reason EVERYTHING was way under seasoned. Very... blah. The salsa & guacamole both needed salt. The fish taco had very little taste. Queso was very good. Service was gr8. Others in our group said the fajitas were very good. My rice & beans were very bland. On another date, we went back for asocial family event. Unfortunately things have not changed. In fact, my taco was terrible. The outer edge of the soft taco wasas hard as a nacho chip. The inside was almost soggy. I put some salsa on my plate and was immediately saddened with a largebowl of water surrounding the salsa. Very bland. Perhaps I can get my family to quit using this establishment for the future. Read more
Enchiladas with with chili con carne-what a joke. No chili, just some "chili sauce" when i asked server where the chili was. To... make it worse, the Enchiladas were mini me versions of a real grown up version, and the cheese was warm at best. Fajitas nearlyas bad. We got there fairly early for a Friday lunch. Staff was very pleasant. Although, did try to upsell me on a cotton candy... margarita after already taken our drink orders. But she was on time kind and supportive. Having said that the food was bland.Very disappointed in this visit. Been here in the past and seemed to be better. Fortunately for us the salsa and queso weregood and filling. But I got the fish taco. The fish was fried but bland. It looked like a sausage roll. With the taco, I orderedpineapple with seasoning. Seemed like they poured seasoning on canned pineapple. I guess I expected more. The other dish wascarne asada. Not sure what the ingredients were but they didn?t taste good. Resorted to eating the meat only dipped in salsa. Tobe fair to the restaurant, I offered to voice my concerns since the person I was eating with didn?t want to. They asked me notsay anything. Came for a farewell dinner for a friend moving back to St Louis. Turned out to be Taco Tuesday and had a fitting menu. My first... plate came out cold, so I alerted the waitress, and it was whisked away back to the kitchen. A second plate came out with moretacos than the first, piping hot ????!
