One of my wife and I's favorite places for date night....or any night really. My first visit was when I was around 12 yrs old... with my parents...how could you not love a place that gives lime sherbert with every meal! They have stayed consistent all ofthese years.... I love the fact that I can order the exact temperature I want and they hit it every time. Also, for asteakhouse, they have some great seafood. My only disappointment?. We Came back to Coach-n-Four after a many year's absence and all I can say is, WOW! This Pensacola staple has an upgraded menu... and a kitchen staff that clearly knows what they are doing. It's obvious they care about the food they are putting out. Theyhave a full bar, with great mixed drinks. Our steaks were spot-on. There was a special going on, and I was able to addperfectly fried shrimp for a very reasonable price. Everything exceeded our expectations in a big way. Two extra touches thatwere great included the sorbet, and signature Worcestershire sauce. If you are local, come back to this place. If you arevisiting Pensacola, come see how the locals eat. Been eating there for 20 years but last night shows that any restaurant can cut cost and quality in a bad economy. Unfortunately... its passed down to the customer. First our salads were NOTHING but store bought bagged lettuce with no other vegetables in thebowl. No carrots, tomatoes, onions, croutons, nothing but lettuce. I paid $30 a piece for steaks that were 1/2 inch thick andthat same steak a year ago was over an inch thick at least. We've spent our last dollar at this restaurant Unfortunately and itsucks because we used to love this place. Our waitress Jamie apologized over and over cause she knew we were unhappy with thefood. The service was good, our waitress was nice, i was there for a dinner party. Only thing i could say about the service was i only... received one sprite for the whole 3.5 hours i was there. Besides that she was very nice. The food on the other hand wasdisgusting. My steak had a sweet taste to it and was not seasoned well at all, it was also grill burnt. It tasted just like thecrust thats burnt off the grill. The ranch was good tho. Read more
4 Of Us Went Here To Eat At 5 o'clock Right When They Were Opening For The Day . The Hostess Took Us To Our Table Very Politely... And Promptly . Our Waitress Was Named Sarah . She Was So Sweet An Attentive To Us . She Was So Spot On With Everything And MadeSure We Didn't Wait On Refills Or Anything At All . Such A Pleasantly Nice Experience She Made Our Visit . Everyone Agreed ThatThe Steaks Were Great An Cooked Perfectly. The Fried Blue Crab Claws Appetizer Were Simply Phenomenal , Albeit A Little BitPricey Though . But Worth It To Me . My Teenage Daughter Had Been Talking About How She Wants Some Fried Crab Claws From Coach NFour For Many Months Now . To See Her Walk In On Her Own After Months Of Not Being Able To Walk By Herself Because Of A MedicalProblem Was Well Worth Any Cost To This Old Dad ... Over the years of writing these reviews I've tried restraining myself from writing potentially cliche reviews such as "I wish I... could rate this place a six out of five stars." Despite that impulse however, I feel myself compelled to bend my standards tobestow such an rating to Coach-n-Four. I have certainly been to restaurants that have dining and gastronomical qualities thatare on the same level as this place but, this is the first place that has made me question if I should rethink the way in whichI rank all future restaurants. My experience here certainly has made it so I will be more considerate when it comes to judgingfuture restaurants as five stars. Read more
Haven't been in there for about 15 years due to moving away. It was typically the same and food/costs/service was all... great. Ate there again tonight 8/14/21 and it was good again.... wife's steak was half fat/gristle but was still good. Evenmy mom ate her whole dinner which is rare. Read more
Slowest service I've ever experienced. It took 30 minutes after being seated just to get the water I ordered. The cocktails took... over an hour. The food was underseasoned and I'm pretty sure that the steaks were made from old work boots. 1* is too high of arating. The ranch was good. Read more
