We had a great experience on a weeknight at Union Public house! The server was knowledgeable of the menu and checked on us... regularly. Be prepared to scan a QR code as they don’t have printed menus anymore. We got the Sambal Chicken Sandwich(blackened with Kimchi Mustard, Scallion Aioli) and it was absolutely delicious. The chicken was very flavor full and cookedperfectly. The second sandwich was the Open faced brisket Patti melt (with Cornbread, Balsamic Grilled Onions, Cheddar,Scallion Aioli). The meat was very soft and flavourful and the cornbread super sweet and unique. This paired with some freshcut sweet potato fries. All in all a lovely experience. Read more

I ordered a well done UPH Burger to go and it was anything but well done. It’s not about what the chef thinks a burger should... be, it’s about what I as a customer enjoy eating. No reservation on Friday means party of 4 must linger for an hour, and so... drinks at the bar! The space is a bit crowded for... that but passable. There were many tables available, but perhaps a limited number of waitstaff on duty. A table opened up on thehour and then service was prompt, friendly, and efficient. Wings & pups were delicious starters - get both. Pork shank wascrispy outside, tender inside. The burger was good and a substantial size. The only dud was the scallops. Nothing wrong withthem, just nothing to write about. We'll skip those on the next visit, but will certainly go back. Read more

We came for a late lunch. We sat inside near the bar and got good service, delicious food, and yummy drinks. The burger was... perfectly prepared. The pulled pork sandwich was a miraculous mix of flavors! But, the scotch egg took the show! I'll be backjust for that! Read more

I just got through eating my birthday dinner at UPH. It was something I had been looking forward to since I had never been here... before and had heard such great things. I was left a bit disappointed. The appetizers we got- a charcuterie board and tuna- weregreat. However, the rest of the meal seemed to regress. The drink ordered was beautiful, but too stiff for me, so I ordered asweet tea instead. My husband ordered a scotch from the menu; the waitress took the order to the bar, but came back a fewminutes later and said they were out. He ordered another brand and we moved on to ordering dinner. After sitting for a littlebit, the waitress came back out to tell us they were out of the duck my husband ordered. He picked the salmon instead. Entreescame out and were pretty good, but neither of us felt they were worth the $30+ dollars each. During the course of the meal, Inever even got an offer to refill my glass of tea. The side of collard greens was very assertive/probably had too much vinegar.While we were eating, my husband ordered a second glass of scotch, which he never got. The waitress asked if I wanted to havedessert but didn’t mentioned being out of anything; there was only a few to choose from, so I picked the hummingbird cake, andwas told they were out of that too. By the time we were done, everywhere else was closing, so there wasn’t an opportunity togo somewhere else for a nice dessert. Our Go-To date restaurant, and favorite to take out of town guests. Frank is the best server and we always ask for him. So the... food...tuna tartar is my favorite app, but the mussels are to die for. all the entrees are awesome and so are the cocktails.only great things to say about this place. its always busy so reservations are recommended if you want to get in on a weekend Read more

It’s been a while since I’ve been back to eat here. When I first came they had lamb sliders and those were delicious, the... menu has changed. This visit was we got the jerk quail and pork shank. Highs: the pork shank was delicious and the jerk quailwas cooked perfectly. Lows: reason for the 4 stars the curried island rice was not appetizing at all. It literally brought thedish down. Outstanding chef with brilliant unique flavors. The burger was beautiful and delicious. Nice thick cut smoked bacon, oven... crisped kale, thick juicy fresh beef and a nice brioche bun. My gf ordered the shrimp grits and it was great but not as good asthe fish house grits a ya ya. The salad was so fresh and all of the flavors combined were perfect. Also the sweet potato frieswere some of the best I’ve ever had and kept in a warm metal can so they stayed hot, with some salt I was loving them and warmuntil the end.
