Chopped bbq fantastic, brisket also fantastic but over half of portion is fat unfortunately and it's expensive, slaw is good,... green beans very good, macaroni and cheese needs some work, hush puppies very good but the first time I was there I got like8-10 this time they only gave me 5 (gotta be consistent), potato salad has WAY too much mayo-I had to spit it out. Hell yeah! I have lived in Winston for 10 years and have tried many BBQ places. This is hands down the best BBQ I have eaten. I... am not a fan of the coarse cut, minced BBQ most places sell. I can't believe that's considered BBQ. Pfafftown Kitchen prepares achunky, pulled BBQ that has a perfect smoked flavor. If you don't like their BBQ, then you probably get your steak from GoldenCorral. Green beans were also outstanding. Nice size portions and a value for the money. Entire meal reminded me of what youwould cook yourself for 4th of July with your buddies. Read more
Unfortunately we were disappointed. We went with great expectations, but the ribs were dry and too smoky. I could not eat much.... The servers were nice, though. As always, you need to try so you can decide if you want to come back. Read more
I have tried a variety of things there. Everything has been very good. Staff is always friendly. The Cheeseburgers and hotdogs... are delicious. Onion rings are great. The BBQ is great as well. Good place to get dinner! Read more
Just heard about the place in the last couple of weeks so, my wife picked up ribs last Thursday. We were very impressed. Great... smoke flavor and the sauce complemented them nicely. Stopped in for Brisket Saturday evening and the wife got a BBQ plate.Haven?t had brisket that good anywhere in town. It was spot on! She loved her BBQ and the cobbler. Oh my Lawd! Hands down the best BBQ in our area and likely the best I've had in NC. I've had BBQ all over the country and this... is my kinda Q. Brisket was moist and tender with the right amount of and smoke. Bark! Oh the bark. I've been missing barkbecause NC hasnt figured that one out yet. The sides were top notch as well.
