First of all, why offer curbside pick up and have a sign out with number to call that nobody answers? This was my first... experience at Kona Grill and I have to say I wasn't impressed. I ordered 2 lunch special burgers to the restaurant a try. Theburgers were cooked as we ordered one medium and one well done. That's all can say good. There was a strong fish odor when Iopened the take out container, yes I realize this is a seafood restaurant but should burger smell fishy? The bottom wasburnt...quality contol should not be ignored just because you're offering a special price. The hostess could really use a bit ofCustomer service training. Try acknowledging that you made a customer wait and maybe apologize for accepting a curbside orderwhen you don't have staff to fulfill the option. Just a thought. Your server Chance there is amazing!!! Best server I’ve ever had. The man is just simply different. He was able to manage... getting my meal swiftly and all of my accommodations I had the mac chicken that he recommended me (as seen below) all of myneeds were met during busy Saturday night and he was able still able to take care of his other tables. We the Sat. before Valentines Day. It was packed and busy but worth the wait! The food did not disappoint. We were offered an... appetizer and glass of complementary champagne while we waited. The staff was very professional and courteous...and did Imention the steak was amazing? The asparagus was sautéed to perfection and the mashed potatoes were the best I've ever had!! This is a good spot for a late dinner. Their happy hour is from 9pm to close. Happy hour menu is nice. Not a lot of options to... choose but they have some interesting dishes and drinks. If you like spicy, make sure to get the spicy edamame. I think theystir-fried the edamame with butter, garlic and chili oil. Super delicious! Poke bowl is good as well. However it only comeswith tuna. The portion is not too small, it can fill me up. Crab crunch roll and spicy tuna roll are good. To be honest, I didnot high expectation about the sushi here because I normally don't go to American restaurants for sushi, but sushi here aredecent ???? The reason why I only gave 4 stars because I don't like how the staff put the bill on the table while we were stilleating. I know he said no rush but I just don't like it that way. Kona Grill! I went to this restaurant for a private dining birthday and we had a minimum required to spend per person. They... allowed us to decorate the private dining room to our taste. They don't provide the table clothes, so make sure you bring yours,if you want that. We brought all our decorations. We were assigned our own servers and the private dining can fit up to 20 orso, depending on how you arrange the tables. We had a great time and the food was really good! Shout out to the general managerand the manager on site! They worked with me to get the best birthday at their restaurant. I had been wanting to visit Kona Grill for a while, and I finally did last Friday night. I advise making reservations in advance... to avoid waiting. The meal is delicious, and the setting is lovely. Both the cilantro lime chicken and the dragon fire sushi weordered are excellent. In comparison to other places, I would say the price is a little excessive, but overall, I had a greattime and will surely return. Read more
