My wife and I have been wanting to go here since we moved to Port Orchard 4 years ago. We finally tried it on a special... occasion. We were expecting a very nice meal. Instead we were very disappointed. The dish I ordered was so bad that I had tosend it back to the kitchen. They did make me another plate of another item but it was still not as good as expected. When was the last time you found food, service and ambiance that were absolutely remarkable? It's rare these days, but Bay... Street Bistro offers it all. We were invited to choose a table, offered menus to peruse while we selected a wine based onseveral tastings offered. Tapas? Yes! Delicious? AMAZING! Oh my gosh - the owner stopped by to chat -Deanna is lovely. Sheushered over her husband, Brady...Also our new friend along with Carla, the server who expertly attended ourtable. Recommendations for wine, for appetizers, our main entrees we had already selected. So reasonably priced it kinda blew mymind a bit. Followed this with scratch made cheesecakes that were to die for... the vanilla scented candles, exposed brick wallsand beams, leaded windows, crystal chandeliers and piano awaiting the live music on Fridays and Saturdays. Bay Street Bistro has the ambiance thats inviting and very welcoming. I feel like the piano is a nice touch and they have a ton... of art so there is plenty to look at in this establishment. I'm a big fan of the old industrial look. I feel this restaurantwould be the best in class except for the price is astronomically expensive two steaks will run you 82 dollars and then twoglasses of wine and an appetizer will bring the price up to 100+. We only ate two appetizers and that ran us $30. I feel likethey could reduce the price and earn more money. ???? I hope this gives you insight into the price. I've wanted to go here fora long time and now I know why it's usually empty. I think this is their loss leader and their actual business is the apartmentsabove. Read more
Very nice, quaint bistro in a cool laid back atmosphere. They're menu is a bit limited (Covid still?) but they at least have a... chicken dish and a fish entree. They were out of salmon the night we visited but the halibut was excellent and cooked to order.They charge extra for bread & salad though... which when the entrees are $25 and up is kind of odd. They also need to have atleast one non-alcohol beer on the menu. They do make a great Cosmo!! Cool jazz music for the dinner hour too ????????????
