We?ve been hearing about Jake?s for a few years while our kids were attending SLU and we finally made it there. It was excellent... and far exceeded our expectations. The location is beautiful and right on the Raquette River. Service was at today?s newstandard but the food was excellent. We had the Cauliflower appetizer and Salmon BLT. They were both excellent. Gluten-free cauliflower pizza here is excellent. The beet salad was fresh was also very tasty. We made reservations for 5 pm... on Monday and got our pick of all the waterside tables. It got busier as we were leaving around 6:15. If you don?t mind paying abit more, this is a lovely spot to go when the weather is nice. Call ahead. Read more

We had a lovely experience at Jake's. First I order a drink off their cocktail menu. The bartender was more than willing to make... sure it was a little more tart than sweet for me and it was perfect. I then ordered the French Dip which proved to be the best Ihave ever had. Best restaurant you are gonna find in the Canton/Potsdam area. Has a cozy vibe and the whole staff was pleasant. Food absolutely... exceeded our expectations. We got the brussel sprouts and white mushroom pizza, which were both delicious. I wish I could tryeverything! Read more
