We went there for the first time last night for my boyfriend's birthday. We were 6. Richard was our server. The service was... excellent. We made a reservation a couple of hours before, our table was ready even though we arrived a few minutes early and the place was... packed. The food was excellent (we had the fish and chips), the service was professional, the beer selection was very good, thesangria was strong, and the price was very fair. Overall a very pleasant meal. This place is simply amazing. We are dining there at least once a month- have tried almost everything on the menu! Food is... simply to die for- their chef is out of this world. There is always something new to try- and it is always fantastic. Theirstaff is super attentive to their clients. Our glasses are never empty and plates always full. A long time waiting for fast food is not something enjoyable, at least no for me. The first round of beers was terrible. Beers... without any gas... The replacement of the beer was just a bit better... The quality of the beer was just a strange experience...The wait time without any justification is what makes this review negative. Every small town has a gem, and it's finding the right one that's hard. It might be as simple as an icecream shop or burgers, or... it might be Barils Ardoise. On the main road going through town, Barils is an epicurial delight. They believe in pushing theboundaries of microbrewery pub food and they do it extremely well. A varied beer-on-tap menu gets you off the ground and it'son to the food, an eclectic mix of standard fare and gastronomic risks, an example being blood pudding grilled cheese, which tomy surprise was amazing. Portions are very generous and the prices are better than expected for the great quality food. Servicewas spot on and I would encourage anyone heading up north to St-Sauveur or those areas to stop on the way and add this to your"must stop" routines. Well done Read more
