The food was quite delicious it took a little bit to come out but it was worth the wait the flavors were all there. Staff was... kind and attentive I felt like a little more food would have been a plus on the breakfast plate. The atmosphere was homey andcalming. Owner is definitely a good person to talk you he makes you feel like you are family and he is super funny. Coffee was alittle blah and the sugar just wouldn't sweeten but I would definitely come back and eat again. Next I will be trying lunch. DidI mention the owner was honestly great! Franklyn?s Breakfast Burgers and Shakes feels like a hidden gem in Reading. They have recently opened for dinner hours so we... were the only ones there when we arrived around 6pm on a Friday. We were greeted by owner Franklyn?s enthusiastic personalityand charm. The rest of the staff was equally welcoming. We started with a pecan milkshake since that was the flavor readilyavailable. It lived up to the hype and was incredibly delicious. For food, I had the fried chicken with macaroni and cheese andbroccoli while my girlfriend had the shrimp po? boy. Each dish left a little to be desired but the chef asked us for feedbackand explained that he had recently been given feedback that the fried chicken was over-seasoned which baffled me. So I must havegotten an over-adjustment recipe. The po? boy tasted a bit overcooked as well. Additionally, we were given garlic bread and sidesalads to start. We declined a complimentary appetizer as the amount of food was too much to stomach. All in all it was adecent experience. If I ever return to Reading, I?d give the burger a try to accompany the world-class shake. Read more

I had a pretty good time at Franklyn?s. The food was great and the service was good. The music was perfect (the oldies but the... goodies). Even while I was eating I was dancing along I had ordered the chicken strips and waffles with eggs and turkey bacon.It was delicious and very filling. SO GOOD first off the fries were perfectly seasoned. Didn't even need ketchup. I got a Philly cheese steak at 9am lol where... else can u do that. My bf got breakfast and it looked so good. DEFINITELY RECOMMEND. BEAUTIFUL STYLE RESTAURANT ALSO. Read more

Stopped for a quick bite when we were in Reading and was pleasantly surprised. I had a grilled chicken sandwich which was very... good. My partner had chicken and waffles. I was jealous. Her waffle was fat and fluffy and the chicken fingers were huge. Owner stopped at the table to check on us which was a very nice touch. Would recommend, will return. Don't miss this smallbusiness!
