I just went to Gems in Middletown on Union Ave for a chicken cutlet sandwich on a roll... and let me tell you! That was the... BEST fricken sandwich I have ever had. It was perfectly made. And the chicken wasn't tough or to thick. Perfecto! AND, they evenwarmed the chicken up ever so slightly to take the chill out of it. That sandwich was made with love. This is the third time I?ve been here and the girl that works there is so rude. I always order scrambled eggs with cheese. Each... time it?s this huge deal. The last time I got it but I had to take 10 minutes to explain to the cook what the difference isbetween that and a cheese omelet. This morning I ordered this again and I didn?t get it again the women behind the counter wasso rude and told me I?m wrong that this is scambled eggs and I got so annoyed that she?s arguing with me I said forget it andjust left it?s so annoying never again HORRIBLE Customer service Read more
There bagel are very fresh. The bacon cheddar, asiago spinach, asiago cheddar & jalapeno cheddar are excellent. Most of time I... get them with jalapeno cream cheese spread. Once in a while I will get the Rocket or the Texan, bought are a great choice. Theservice is good, they keep it pretty clean. Very good food. Read more
The pork roll sandwiches are fantastic! However, I could not give them 5 stars because of the amount of cream cheese they put... on a bagel! They put about an entire small tub of cream cheese on one Bagel it is ridiculous! Edit: I forgot to mention thebagel was super hard too! I've never heard of a fresh Bagel being this HARD! The staff is so very friendly and courteous. Very helpful & outgoing. They have a very wide selection of bagels & they have a... variety of coffee & iced coffee drinks. They aren't expensive, & they have super comfy chairs to sit in while you eat / surf theweb and get your work done too. Just sucks they are only open until 2:00.
