Don’t miss this margarita/taco menu - something for everyone. Chef does some great specials, especially with fresh fish. Buck... chuck oysters never disappoint. Check out the summer patio too, the fence was a great addition! Read more

A chill place with serving delicious Mexican food. The tacos were very good with the scallop taco (a special) being a stand out... along with the carne asada. Drinks were also good, especially the Margarita. Great outdoor space. Read more

We had great food and drinks at Big Spruce. I especially appreciate the time someone took to help me identify foods that I could... eat with my dietary restrictions- they generated a list of menu items that I could safely eat. It's hard to convey how much itmeans to me that someone cared enough to take the time to do that. I really don't expect it, as most places don't do it. Thankyou!! Read more

The tacos were delicious and there are 3 different vegetarian options – cauliflower, avocado, and mushroom. Awesome outdoor... eating area too. It is a bit pricey though, especially with the 15% service charge added to every check. Read more

If you are looking for the best place to eat in Burlington, The Big Spruce, is the best place to eat, even though it is in... Richmond. The food is incredible. Everything we ate was delicious, fresh, a blend of summer flavors punctuated by localingredients. And the service! Oh, what service! Friendly, patient, personable-our main server was Curtis, who we adored. Inaddition, literally every other person who helped us made us feel welcomed. Thank you to the incredible staff who made this thebest meal in Chittenden County! Read more

Carnitas was tasty. Scallop special taco kinda bland (although it sure sounded good). Spicy margarita was good enough to have... two. Loved the outdoor seating; would be a fun place to have a family gathering on the way back from camping as a way to easeback into society. And with it being in Richmond, it is perfectly situated for that purpose. Read more

Tonight was our first dine in experience at The Big Spruce. We had takeout once when they first opened and it was just okay. ... Decided to give it a second chance. The place really needs someone to oversee the operation. Drinks were very slow to comeout. Drinks also were short on the pour with an excessive amount of ice. We had to ask for silverware and napkins after ourfood arrived as did our neighbors. Our tacos were not distributed in the correct baskets, same for our neighbors. The mahitaco special was terrible. The fish was extremely fishy and cold. The black beans were dried out. The avocado and mushroomtacos were good. The coconut dessert was interesting. Not a good experience. Read more

I met a friend here for a quick bite and a beer, neither of us had been here yet and thought it worth checking out. First... impressions were good, Hostess was nice, as was our server. Drinks were quick enough. Though a small plastic cup filled withcubed ice and margarita was underwhelming for the price even if it was well made. We ordered food and chatted watching othersbe seated and order, some were served... finally our food came after what felt like a long wait for 3 Street tacos each. Thefood was good serving amount was small for the price. Each Taco is $5 or $6 with no sides. We left feeling OK about ourexperience but won't be rushing back. Read more
