I have eaten many times at Pepper's Landing in Old Town, ME. This was the first time dining at their Rochester, NH location. I... found the food and service to be consistently excellent. If I could make a simple suggestion, I would recommend grilling thechicken when putting it in a salad. It adds more flavor. The chicken my wife had didn't have any grill marks. Lexy was ourserver Friday night in Rochester. She was simply outstanding!!! It seemed to me that she was born to be in the service industry.Communicating came so naturally for her. My husband and I stopped by for lunch at the end of July and it was really good. We sat at an outside table, wasn't busy at all.... Our waitress was great, came by and checked on us enough times, got our drinks pretty quick, food didn't take too long, and itwas all delicious. My husband has raved about how good the fried clams were (pictured) - perfectly cooked in clean oil, and areally wonderful light batter. They were so good, those alone are worth the drive. Really big portion also! We also got theCajun Shrimp Pimento Dip (pictured) that was amazing, and I had a cup of clam chowder (pictured) that was really really good. We rode bikes. Three of us ate 102 oysters! Yes 102 oysters... We had beer also. Some of the guys had the huge ????! Then we... (Todd) rode home in the snow. Good times. The people at PL were great hosts. We will return and get our Cool Hand Luke on again. Read more
PHENOMENAL DINING EXPERIENCE! Stopped in for our Valpak Meeting and had the Freshest and tastiest "Maine Stuffed Haddock"!with... "real" red skin Mashed Potatoes and Asparagus... everything cooked perfectly and Absolutely Delicious! My colleague got theFried Chicken sandwich and fries and couldn't stop raving as well.
