I love eating Polish food even though I have to stay away from the pork since I don't eat it. That kind of limits me as to what... I can get from the menu, but I can still have a good time and order other dishes. I started with the dill soup which I thoughtwas okay. Good soup, just not in love with it. I do recommend though. After we both reviewed the menu, my friend and I gotperogies. They have a few different flavors, and I went with the potato and spinach with cheese. I guess you can get them panfried or boiled? Pan fried only for me! You can also get onions on top and something else, but I passed on both. The food herewas really good, but compared to other polish restaurants, not the greatest. They do try hard here and are a small business, soI gave them an extra star for that. The prices here are fair, lots to choose from and overall a good solid meal. Also, theiropen for breakfast? There was a very homey feel to Val's. The dumpling soup was absolutely fabulous! Below are pictures of the soup and goulash. Excellent food and great service. The bread was super fresh and great with the dill pickle soup. I've never had goulash with... pork, only beef, but it was really good over the potato pancake. The combination plate was fantastic. The pierogi were perfectlyfried. The beef and potato ones were so good. Everything was so good and we will be back for sure. Read more
It's cold out today and I was hungry for some really terrific food so I went to Val's Polish Kitchen and ordered takeout... including a Val's Combo and some Potato Pierogis. Went to Val's Polish Kitchen today and both the food and service were excellent! We had a Val's Combo Plate, Chicken Dumpling... Soup and Potato Pancakes. Everything was freshly prepared and delicious! The restaurant was clean and the menu is full of greatdishes to enjoy! I will be returning to Val's soon for some more delicious food! Read more
Went to Val's Polish Kitchen and had a Combo Plate - it was fantastic! The restaurant was clean and the service was excellent!... I worked in Detroit for many decades and used to go to Hamtramck regularly for great Polish food. Val's food is every bit asgood as one can get in Hamtramck! Great little place. Everything I've eaten there really tastes homemade. You may hear that about a lot of places. But the food is... taste like it came out of your grandmas kitchen. The lunch and dinners are fantastic. The service can not be better. Read more
My family loves Val?s!!! When ever they come to visit me they always request to eat at Val?s. The pieorgi?s are my favorite they... are so delicious. My mom and sister loved the stuffed cabbage.
