The food here was great. Not what I expected at all. I love the setup and environment they had here. I like that the food is... fast BBQ, I didn't have to wait for my order. You order by the pound and the cook pulls it out and slices it there where youcan see them. They weigh it and you pay. I went at lunch time and it wasn't crowded at all. Consistently good BBQ at a fair price and has never let down. In Austin, there?s obviously better BBQ places but between the... wait, the price, the availability, and the hours, Rudy?s has always been a good contender, not to mention the indoor/outdoorambiance is great and they have good breakfast taco selections as well. I always recommend getting the moist brisket. Cream cornis always also great. I have recently been stopping in and grabbing a breakfast taco on my way to work, because it's justbeen convenient to my job site. But let me tell you! Talk about breakfast robbery! Man oh man was this some great BBQ with fixings? Rudy?s is on my top 3 in Texas? staff super friendly and setting just plain... old-fashioned filled with lots of locals interested in one thing and that is Good Ole Fashioned Texan BBQ. The half rack ofbaby back ribs was wicked delicious and their sissy sauce to compliment was the icing on the cake. My wife ordered the pulledpork and my oh my was that jammed with flavor, don?t let the looks of it fool ya. Definitely a experience you must have whenyour in Texas.
