Finally returned after the pandemic and all, and the Café has not lost its touch. Nice cocktail menu, which we ordered from.... The French Onion Soup is the best we’ve tasted in a long time (albeit saltier than most). The Café Bastille Salad is a fresh,delicious meal on its own without adding protein. The Quiche Lorraine is a cheesy, rich delight, but the Pommes Frites areamazing, easily the best we’ve tasted in memory; if you get them, enjoy them fresh and hot! Read more

We came here for dinner with coworkers. They accommodated a reservation for 12 beautifully and split the check for us! The... table was ready for us when we arrived, and we were seated outside as requested. I got the bourguignon and started eatingbefore I remembered to take a photo. I think the complaint that's unique to me is that I wish there was more food. I was stillhungry, so I got the lemon cake for dessert. That was also really good! Read more
Visited Café Bastille yesterday for dinner with friends. The location is nice and they have a good outdoor seating setup to... accomodate even large groups. The drinks were great but the food I ordered was a let down (see attached picture). I ordered theCafé Bastille Salad which is a $16 salad on the menu without any added protein. While all the ingredients mentioned in the menuwere on the plate, the salad looked more like a full butter lettuce head cut into two with other ingredients and dressing ontop. As a signature salad of a restaurant, I was expecting something more appetizing. I hope the salad preparation can beimproved to look worthy of 16$. Read more
Wasn’t very impressed with the food. Before I going into details, I want to caveat that the ingredients were fresh and top... quality. But that was only half the battle. I ordered the streak. The meat was well prepared. But in my opinion what separatesgood french food from great ones are the small things. For example, I was deeply disappointed in the French fries. I woulddescribed the fries like any fries you see in a bar or a pub. Skinny fries, always skinny fries (if you don’t know what Imean, you shouldn’t call yourself a French restaurant). We also ordered a crème brûlée thinking maybe it can save the dayfor us. Nope. The dish was pre-made. You know how I know, because it was still cold ???? inside! Wow. We came here for a reservation at 6pm and I don’t know why it wasn’t packed! Everything here is lovely- the ambience,... the service, the drinks, and the food. Our server David was super helpful making recommendations and was was patient andefficient. We ordered the escargot, pulpo, fiedeua (rice noodles) with squid ink, the steak, the chocolate ganache cake, and thelemon mascarpone cake. We loved all of it. I also enjoyed the Lorca cocktail and ended up getting 2 because it was so nice-just the right balance of sweetness and acidity.
