Truly authentic and fantastic Cajun cousine. The mushroom Jambalaya is the best. Pillowy soft mushroom, complex and flavorful... sauce reduction, and pleasantly crumbly corn bread. Pudding is great too. We were there in December and the restaurant waswarmly decorated with Christmas ornaments --- feels like a cottage inn. Warm and lovely service too. Read more

Edwin is the most hospitable chef ever. My brother treated me to lunch for my birthday at Creola’s. Everything was cooked to... perfection. We had the collard greens, red beans & rice with fried cat fish and braised short ribs. Gumbo. Beignets for desert!!The service was impeccable!! Read more

Nice southern style food! Fried chicken served piping hot, but salty on mash but it went well with garlic green beans. Nice... cornbread. Beignet are bite sized not like the huge ones from New Orleans Read more

August 2022: Came here for lunch on a Sunday. Ordered the oyster brochettes to start. These were delicious oysters wrapped with... bacon and deep fried. This was probably the highlight of the meal. Oysters were juicy and tasty and the breading was verydelicate! Superb appetizer ????! We shared a bunch of mains. Etouffee was my favorite. Nice shrimp stew over a bed of jasminerice ????! We also tried the fried chicken ???? which was nicely breaded. The last entree was the fried catfish. This was okay. All the entrees needed a dash of crystal hot sauce. Sides we shared: jambalaya, collared greens, green beans, red beans andrice. All were good. Dessert included beignets and coffee ?. Was okay because they were more bready than crispy. Service wasgreat. Overall, rating five ? for great oysters and top notch service. Would also come back for the etouffee. ???? Read more

Presentation: 5 Southern flavors:2 Experience:3 I lived in Georgia for many years and this place didn’t hit the spot. The... jambalaya was kind of dry so not my favorite and one of my fried chicken pieces has meat attached to the bone that wasn’t wellcooked. They took the piece back to the kitchen and fried it again but this time they burned the skin. Read more

I wish we'd discovered this place years ago! Cajun Creole is my favorite cuisine and my husband is from Louisiana. There aren't... very many places in SF serving Cajun Creole dishes, and we hadn't found anyone making them traditionally, which is what we wantthe most. So when we came here, we decided we needed to try the gamut: gumbo, éttouffée, catfish, red beans, jambalaya, and ofcourse, beignets. We also got hush puppies because I can't resist. The hush puppies arrived first, served with remoulade, and Iimmediately knew we were going to have a good time. They were moist, perfectly crispy, and absolutely delicious. We thought thegumbo was going to be more of an appetizer, but this could easily be its own entree. It was excellent, and the roux wasperfectly executed. It doesn't need it, but you should add the Crystal anyway. The éttouffée was next, and it was practicallyperfect in every way. Super flavorful, excellent spice, generous portions of shrimp and crawfish - it's hard to find a placeoutside of Louisiana serving decent sized crawfish, let alone plentiful amounts. This was our #1 favorite dish, and we wouldcome back for this alone. The breaded catfish was delightful as well, excellent crisp and cooked just right. My husband saidhe'd definitely order it on a po'boy in the future. The red beans were very good, though we prefer a thicker sauce. Jambalaya isour least favorite Cajun dish, but CreoLa's was moist and flavorful, so we were pretty pleased with it. And finally...thebeignets. We were quite satisfied by the amount of powdered sugar on top - other restaurants here do not put enough, there mustbe a small mountain. The dough was darker than typical, maybe with cinnamon or some more robust wheat flour? I liked it, but myhusband was a bit let down, and he was offended that it is served with sauce. As is probably obvious, we had a fantastic time. The food was excellent, and we were very happy to see the many Abita options available. We look forw Read more

Great service and space. The wheat beignets were delicious as well as the blackened catfish. Other dishes were fine but I would... want to come back and try some of the other items in order for me to push the rating up. Read more

Came here right at opening on a weekend. Staff is for sure checking on vaccinations. They also seemed to still be cleaning,... which were cool with, but not when they were close and stirring up dust right next to us. Food was alright. We were hoping for akick or two with our food, but didn’t really get much spice or bold flavors. Read more
