1 Michelin star Husband chef Wife pastry chef Before the shut down to remodel - it's was 65 for 4 course. Osetra Potato Caviar... bite was delicious. Milk bread and butter ???????? Would skipped the little gem salad and do the the cured hiramasa! That wasamaaaaazing. Light fresh salty and citrusy. With the crunch and the fish. Asparagus soup with the smoked hollandaise and farrowas a nice texture The Black cod was sooooo good. The miso salt foam. I wish I had a spoon to drink it up. The pork collar wasso soft and tender the sauce was amazing but wish there was more sauce and more a veggy or side option to enjoy with thepork. The strawberry rhubarbs crumb cake was so flavorful. There were dry yuzu bits that really brought out theflavors. Parking was easy. Service was great. Someone would come by and clean up crumbs and spill every time. They hadblankets for those eating outdoors and it would get chilly. After dinner you can drive up to Bernal heights park and watch thesunset! Read more

Great atmosphere, super friendly staff, delicious food. We wanted a specific table and they gave it to us. The apps and deserts... are incredibly delicious and new. I almost docked one star because the mains were very average. Read more

I had high expectations going in but Marlena exceeded all of them. Unbelievable food, creative, thoughtful, complex in flavor,... and beautifully presented. The staff is knowledgeable and explains the dishes while serving, great ambiance as well. Marlena is aspecial place and I highly recommend you put it on your "A List." You won't be disappointed. Looking forward to be back! Read more

What an amazing restaurant! The food was incredible, the staff so friendly and accommodating, and the atmosphere wonderful. The... brussel sprouts were so good, the gnudi dish deliciously cheesy, and the pork collar and corvina both so tasty. The deserts weresumptuous. Note that the menu will change regularly. Try the 'Feeling Lucky' wine options for some unexpected but thoughtfuloff-menu pairings, and watch the chefs work away in the kitchen. Super accommodating of my wife's gluten-free needs. Highlyrecommended. Well-deserving of its Michelin Star. Read more

Had a lovely dinner to celebrate a birthday, and it was certainly enjoyable! The vibe is a little odd between that of a Michelin... starred place (which they received recently) and a more casual place. The dishes were made using high quality ingredients butsizing and taste were somewhat inconsistent with the salad being big & mediocre, while the other option (fish) tiny & delicious. We also added an additional aged duck dish that was first introduced that day, and while the duck itself was delicious, thepumpkin side with it was once again falling flat, and we all agreed it wasn't worth the extra 45$. Overall, I enjoyed my dinnerat Marlena, but it was in a transition phase which was felt throughout the meal. Will check back again in the future. Read more

Not bad. Fish and dessert were really good. As was the bread. They had at least three types of bread as well. I got the "I'm... feeling lucky" wine and it turned out really well. They are not super responsive when making reservations but otherwise friendly Read more
