Wow best Rubio's location hands down. My California bowl was steaming when I got it, it was so fresh. The chicken was juicy and... hot, the staff is kind and the restaurant is very clean. The food at other locations can be disappointing, but here it is alwaysquality. I came here once before and a man loudly thanked the staff for having the best Rubio's in San Diego. He was correct. After 45+ Years...We Love Rubio's! But, after waiting 45 min. for a to go order, and having COLD Beans & a piece of Fish the... size of a FISH STICK (actually smaller) WE are very disappointed!!! This is a nice place to eat california Burritto..but dont come here on a Tuesday or Wednesday, the food dont taste too well.its... seems those running the afternoon shifts on this days need to learn from those that does it during the weekend shifts.I have atemy worst burritos on the days! sometimes served cold food or not tasty.The weekend is the best time to come here. I am a fan of the Grilled Chicken Gourmet Tacos, The Original Fish Tacos. Stepped out today and tried the Californina Burrito... from Rubios, unfortunately there?s nothing special about the burrito. I am going to leave a four star because their chips alwaystaste stale or from yesterday?s batch, If I am being served a side of chips they gotta taste better. Salsa bar is closed so theycharged me $1.00!for pico, the store here in Santee has a patio with a good amount of outside seating. A couple of the guys hereworking behind the counter didnt wear aprons and name tags, so thats kinda weird. Restaurant appears to be clean and inviting.Will definitely come back, eventually as I have not been here since Covid started. Read more
Omar was fantastic! Extremely friendly and provided great customer service. We used to come weekly on Tuesdays, but noticed... cleanliness and customer service was declining. We decided to try again and were pleased. The food was delicious as always! Thetables have been resurfaced so they weren't sticky and there were no gnats in the salsa/soda area. Glad to see there have beenimprovements! Friendly staff and delicious menu options. Read more
