Our dinner was excellent, worthy of the 20+ minutes wait on a Tuesday night. My partner had a chicken & shrimp gumbo soup and... fried perch sandwich, I had Cobb salad with grilled chicken breast and roasted garlic balsamic dressing. It was one of the bestCobb salad I ever had. The chicken was grilled to perfection, tender and juicy. Chicken breast and salmon are two things thatshow a chef's calibre. If overcooked, they could be tough and dry. Be warned: the place is loud. You would have to raise yourvoice to have a conversation. But the food is GOOD! Read more
There are a lot of places to eat in Saugatuck. Phil's is probably our favorite. Their menu isn't earning them a Michelin star... anytime soon. However, what they do make is done exceedingly well, they take great care in their service, and the ambiance isinviting and cozy with a touch of neighborhood bar. We tried Phil’s for the first time tonight. We started with the Tuna app and then I had the salmon and my husband had the... Ribeye. The food was phenomenal. Our server, Katelyn, was excellent. A local suggested this restaurant to us and I am glad they did. It's a friendly atmosphere and the food was delicious. We didn't... have to wait which was nice. Cozy, intimate, and chill vibe late on Sunday night. Service was on point, food was full of cheese and butter and deliciousness.... Had so much fun eating and drinking wine and laughing with friends, staff, and other patrons that we ended up closing the place.Great place for enjoying pasta, sea food, and wine. Read more
