Bad service. I walked in this afternoon for lunch. The cashier, a mid-aged bald man walked away as I was walking towards the... cash register. He proceeded to talk to the male customer that he had just checked out. I waited. I wasn?t acknowledged. He justacted like I wasn?t standing there. I guess I was supposed to wait for him to finish talking about how busy the store wasyesterday. My son and I left. Every customer should be acknowledged. A simple, ?Hi, I?ll be right with you?. I am a woman and Iam familiar with the culture. I will never go to that Charley?s again. I can go to FM 78, Randolph AFB, Rolling Oaks Mall?thelist goes on. Do better Mr. Cashier. It my husband and I's first time. The service was great, the food actually tasted pretty awesome but I was disappointed that our... food was wrong. We ordered it to go and both ordered large jalapeno fries, neither had jalapenos. I asked for light mayo butinstead got no mayo but also no tomato and lettuce on my 3 cheese bacon sandwich. Horrible. I was taking a chance on this place too. I thought I misspoke at first and didn?t ask for the regular toppings. It... came with just cheese on my sandwich. I wanted the regular items. But nothing was put in it. The sandwich was somewhatforgivable. Until I got to what is called large fries. I didn?t know I was getting a few Under cooked fries that would tastehorrible. 1st of all I ordered extra cheese barely any on it look at the 2 subs in the pics ..1 was normal cheese and has loads of it. Here for lunch. First time. Told the cashier it was our first time and he immediately explained the menu nicely. Mike, the... owner, was behind the counter and overseeing and helping with the final touches to our order. He was kind and even added a smallorder of fries to our order for us to try it. The sandwiches were great! Super fresh and very filling - we got number 7. Theplace has a few TV's hanging from the ceiling. The only thing I thought it was strange was the seating: a mixture of dinerbooths and mismatched chairs and tables: different colors, make and looks. I am not in favor of this type of decor which lookedodd with the TV's up there in my own opinion. Go for the food! It was delicious!! Read more
I have eaten at Charleys Philly Steaks for more than a decade. The food has always had the potential to be great, but the people... that work there make or break the food product, the atmosphere, and your overall experience. The new owner, Mike, at the Forumlocation, is knocking it out of the park. This is not the same Charleys I knew from less than a year ago. In just a short timeas owner, Mike has given the store something it lacked; he's given it atmosphere! By having employees that display an attitudeof wanting to be there, wanting to help you, and wanting to give their very best in putting out a great meal each and everytime, it makes me want to keep on going back for more. Great!!! Delicious! My cheesesteak was so perfectly cook. And the Old School Fries were awesome. Good customer service. Friendly... staff. Plenty of parking. They are low in employees so maybe is the reason for dirty restrooms. Read more
