This place was always my favorite go to when I worked in smithville. I would always order the biscuit and gravy for pick up and... the place was welcoming. It's been about 5-6 months since I've visited this place and I was very disappointed with the customerservice I received today. I went up to order my food because I sat at a table for more than 5 minutes waiting on someone ( Inever dined in so I didn't know if you ordered at the counter and then sat down) I ended up going to the counter and there was ayoung lady in a black shirt and a braid inputting a order but never acknowledged that I was standing in front of her. Shefinished inputting her order walked away, walked back to the front where I was still standing there and then proceeded to walkto the back asking for someone else. After several minutes of just standing there, she decided to finally acknowledge me with"what can I get for you?" with a very I have no choice but to help you attitude and made me feel rushed when ordering my food.It was a very disappointing experience because I was very excited to come back to olde world bakery and bring my fiancé for hisfirst time. Great simple American Breakfast with coffee. Nice old-time building setting. Most peculiar is the pepper in the pepper shaker.... It was delicious but they couldn't tell the brand, the name or where I could buy some. Read more

Ya'll....I ordered a Cobb salad during a take out lunch meeting. Expecting the usual, greens, bacon, blue cheese thing, I was... shocked when I opened the box. Inside was a bed of pristine spring greens. It was topped with freshly cooked bacon, blue cheese,and literally the most perfectly hard cooked eggs I've had at restaurant. But wait there's more next to some sliced avocado,was a beautiful heap of cranberry walnut chicken salad.. what? Not too sweet, just a little mayo. Unbelievable. Read more

I was just visiting Smithville and I?m so glad I spent my morning at this little place! The service was gracious and I had a... lovely latte and blueberry lemon scone. This café is absolutely worth a stop in Smithville. The atmosphere is charming and the customer service is top notch.
