Definitely a five star Japanese restaurant! We were sitting in front of the chef Cesar. We ordered Omakase and the food was... presented to us course by course. Presentation was brilliant. Fish was so fresh. Chef was so fun to talk to. He painted lots ofpaintings on the wall. An culinary artist. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves Sushi. AMAZING SUSHI! EXCELLENT SERVICE! The tall Caucasian female with the glasses is so sweet. The sushi on the appetizer menu was 20... stars! I ordered the Surf and Turf rolls! So delicious. Ambiance: Beautiful fish tank! It has that old, woody American-Mountaintown vibe w/ excellent Asian infusion menu! Loved the Lechee Martini and hot Sakis. Nice and interesting clientele. Oh My Goodness! One of the best meals we've had in ages! My 8yo granddaughter loves sushi and we were in South lake Tahoe for a... couple of nights in June. There are a number of sushi places to choose from in Tahoe, but I liked the look of The Naked Fish,and it was very near our hotel. My wife said the coconut curry was the best she'd ever had, and I had one of their spotlightsushi meals with tempura shrimp, mahi and avocado. Wow, just wow. If I lived in Tahoe this place would be my guilty pleasureevery week! Read more
We went to Naked Fish twice during a stay in Tahoe and found the sushi there to be excellent. I'd definitely recommend sitting... on the sushi bar side, though as the service was much quicker and more attentive there than when we sat on the alcohol bar sideof the building. I'd really recommend sushi chef Patrick! He did a great job and even created some very tasty omakase offeringsfor me on the fly ???????? Read more
The food was decent enough. The pricing was unfortunately a bit too "Tahoe" (meaning over priced for the sake of raking in... tourists money) though, I think. Server was good (Chloe), and we had a good time. Just wish the prices - especially the nagiri- was more reasonable. Read more
