Zero star if there is one. Last time we were here they had no chocolate swirl, machine was bad and they Sent us to vernon... location Today we are here and it is 3pm mid-day on a Saturday and the shop is closed. Absolutely love Rita's and I will drive 30+ miles out of my way to have it. This was our first time at this location and it was... the WORST Rita's I've ever been to for 3 reasons: The inside smelled *very* strongly of cleaning products. As soon as weordered we had to leave, it was terribly nauseating. I went a second time a week later and the smell was the same. My kids hadlarge pieces of unflavored ice in their Italian Ice. There was also no special flavor of custard, only vanilla andchocolate. All in all, very friendly staff, and the desserts were still mostly phenomenal. Read more

I came to Rita's about 4 years ago for the first time. Oh my God it was good then and it still is to this day!! You need to make... the chocolate covered strawberry Italian ice more often though. That's my favorite flavor!! Tonight I had the strawberry andwild black cherry flavors together. So good!! Read more

Great little mom and pop like place that serves custard and Italian ice of various flavors and displays local art on the walls.... Extremely nice fast service, cheap prices, and great iced treats make Rita's a really enjoyable simple place to go. They arealso nut friendly assuming you don't get toppings. This is a hidden gem in the Stop and Shop plaza. I love their Italian Ice and creamy custard (I?m a big fan of the gelati, which... includes both). It was also great because it was allergy friendly for my friend with a nut allergy (as long as she didn?t getthe toppings), so we could all enjoy.
