I have gone to Athens for over twenty years! They are a wonderful group of people with a family nucleus. Very fine people... indeed. They make the best homemade pitas in Michigan and I have traveled to many places and you won?t find anything close. It?s no secret , the Greek Salad is my fave! This is a very nice place to eat. The service is professional and caring. They pay attention to the details. When I go there... it's like having lunch at the neighbor's house. It is clean and the food is hot and fresh - except for the cold salads, thoseare cold and fresh! Tasty food all around! Read more

I dislike the term ?hidden gem,? because no business wants to be hidden, but it describes Athens Souvlaki really well. Their... food is consistently incredible. Homemade pita is legendary. Spinach pie is wonderful. I?ve visited countless times and havealways been happy with my order. Everyone who works here is very friendly too. This isn?t a Coney Island, so you may wait a fewextra minutes for your food, but it?s totally worth it. Read more
I was introduced to this place over 15 years ago when my co-workers took me to the 'Greek Salad Place'. The Greek Salad with... grilled chicken is one of, if not the best, in the state. Visited here on the way to the Redford Theater to see Young Frankenstein. Picked Athens based on reviews and had a taste for a... Moussaka. Walked in, sign said please seat yourself. Walked past 4 of the staff at the counter and grills. Sat down and waited10 minutes and never even got acknowledged. Place was empty save a couple of carry out customers. No excuse. Walked out and samestaff just looked our way and smiled. The epitome of poor service. Read more
