Absolutely great service. Food was fantastic. The atmosphere was vary pleasing.

I never leave reviews but felt compelled to do so. I was in town for a conference and this place was recommended. It did not... disappoint! The crab stuffed mushrooms were phenomenal! Excellent venue for dinner. Many choices fod arrives quick hit and tasty. Waitress was professional and courteous and attentive... but not in an annoying fashion. Thee place to dine when in Springfield Illinois! We visit Springfield 3 times a year for our Elks State Convention and we eat... at Chesapeake every time on Friday night Food and drinks are exceptional and the prices are extremely reasonable for thequantity and quality. Michele was our waitress this time I did it fantastic job taking care of the 14 of us! The ambience ofthe restaurant is phenomenal due to the fact that it?s well over 100 years in the making. Reasonable pricing, but it adds up quickly. Would have liked a vegetable choice with dinner. Included side salad was... unremarkable, just chopped head lettuce with a sprinkle of grated cheddar cheese. I expected better mixed greens, tomato,croutons, etc. That should be corrected. Plates were super hot & kept food warm. Our server was outstanding, entrees weredelicious. Persons with fish & seafood allergies were gently reminded by an entry sign that this could be an issue.LOL! A return visit, and as always, delicious. Went earlier than the dinner hour, so had no wait to be seated. But by the time we... left, it was busy. I'd suggest reservations if going after 5 or 6 pm. Anything I've ever had here is excellent and we'll worththe price. The server was attentive and knowledgeable. Dessert looked attractive, but I was too full to consider it. Great evening dining experience for the whole family. Very nice building, with a very nice decor inside, with some cool sea and... shipping items. The food is warm and very tasty, with options like chicken and other fare other than just their very goodseafood. The staff is very polite, courteous and attentive.
