Wow is all i can say! This place is such a gem. We were staying in an air bnb within walking distance and stopped. The air was... out when we visited (a rare occurrence I?m sure) but the service was still phenomenal. We tried the smoked wings, pulled porkand duck breast. All were very flavorful and high quality. Some of the best BBQ I?ve ever had. You MUST try the duck confit, cornbread, burnt ends, beans, ribs, turkey, and brussel... sprouts. Everything was so delicious and served quickly. Both BBQ sauces are yummy, but we preferred the thicker, sweeter one. Read more
The Shaved Duck in Tower Grove East has been a favorite for years. I brought a friend who has never eaten here before and he... was impressed. Their burnt ends are beyond! Service is great. I can honestly say I have never eaten anything here I haven?tliked. We are inside this trip because of the heat outside, but they do have picnic tables outside if you prefer eatingoutdoors. Recommended to me by a colleague and I'm glad I stopped. Cool atmosphere with indoor and outdoor seating available I went... shortly after open on a Saturday and was able to get a table - bar seating is also available. FOOD: Brisket burger with baconand a side of mac. The burger was really good. I tried some of the sauces on a few bites... the burger doesn't need it butthey do compliment the flavors of the meat. DRINK: Sour Grove East. The drink was well prepared. Very balanced. They had acouple of musicians setting up as I was leaving. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Read more

We wanted to find a beloved local joint for dinner on our road trip through St Louis and ran across The Shaved Duck Smokehouse.... It had a warm, funky vibe and we knew it was going to be a fun time. We ordered the special smoked bacon encrusted with walnutsto start and then I ordered a burnt end sandwich with slaw and their daily veggie special, the flash fried brussels with hoisinsauce. My hubs ordered the smoked meatloaf with a side of fries both of which he thoroughly enjoyed. We wish we could?veexplored the cocktails but we had more driving to do. Great find! Read more
Super cool neighborhood restaurant with a full bar option. Decided to give these guys a try simply because of its name. ???? The... barbecue menu is great for anyone who like to eat. As always I have decided to order way too much so I had a chance to tryburned ends, ribs, pulled pork and tri-tip with fries and coleslaw. The atmosphere is chill, staff members are super friendly and the drinks are reasonable. The four stars is for the wait time. We... were seated immediately however we waited an hour for our foods to arrive. Two plates were French fries, I ordered a meat & twoand my husband ordered the appetizer nachos.
