For not really caring for New Orleans type of spicy stuff I found this place to a good balance of flavor with the spice. The... boudin balls were good but could have use more flavor. I wanted to do something different so my daughter recommended that we go to Walk-Ons. We went during lunch hours the vibe was... good the people were nice and friendly. So I ordered the crawfish ettoufe and came to the table I was so excited my first timetrying it and I was so disappointed it was cold. So I sent it back and when I got it back the second time it was worse as thefirst. So now I'm irritated so I ordered the shrimp and fries combo. When I say I was so disappointed and irritated withWalk-Ons my waffle fries were cold and hard the shrimp was overcooked the breading was not right. Excellent service, the food is great! I had the grilled chicken berry pecan salad, it was AMAZING! Took half of it home and ate... for lunch today, it is a HUGE salad. My husband had a double bacon cheeseburger, said it was the best he's eaten in a long time(a tie with a Reggie's burger). Note to Walk-On's management: it would be great if you listed macros on the menu! Especially forthe salads - particularly for pecans/cheese/dressing separately. So I?m not from around here, so I was extremely surprised to see how INCREDIBLE this establishment was! Let?s start with the... actual space, very clean and big. I?m not sure what year this was open, but it looks like it?s very new, so obviously well kept!The bar was huge and I?m a city girl from Dallas, so you know I like huge. The options are very impressive. If your looking fora turn up or a casual drink at whatever time your 5 o?clock is, go to this place! It was phenomenal and came highly recommended by our waitress, so shout out to her.The portion size was very large, as much as I can eat, I needed a take home box. Cool, casual, lively spot. They have good, moderately priced drinks and a good atmosphere. Didn't get food, but it looked really... good. Bartenders were super friendly and gave good tips on what to order. Would definitely come back next time we're in town.Great beer selection. Read more
What a great place with awesome food. Atmosphere was a sports bar with casual dining. The exposed brick is always warm. Multiple... TVs on every wall so you don't miss the game, any game. For starters, me and the wife had the alligator. Fresh and tender with agreat taste. For my main, I had the duck & andouille gumbo. Best decision of the day. Great taste, big portion.
