Featured in Restaurant Impossible, the food is delicious and the portions are huge! The renovations are beautiful, so don't let... the exterior fool you. There's an odd partition between the dining area and the counter, but you can walk on either side ofit. I was not really hungry when the family and I came in, so I got an order of lizzard appetizer as my entree. It was a largeportion and I had leftovers! E shared fried green tomatoes and they were good. The sauce was amazing. The short ribs that mydaughter got were the best! My hubby's pork chop was good. We overheard the server mention a cake for dessert, but she highlyrecommended the Banana Pudding. It was good. My Hubby is a huge banana fan so he, of course, liked it. Amazing staff and even better food. Loyd came out and let us try the ox tail and gizzards to see if we liked them. We ordered... both! They brought out a treasure chest for the kids after as well! We’ll be back. Read more

Everything from start to finish was absolutely amazing!!! The staff is so kind and attentive. The food is SOOOO good!!! The... fried chicken was so moist and delicious!!! My husband got the BBQ meatloaf which was great as well!!! My family and I are hugefood network fans and the kids were so excited to meet the owner and get a picture with him! Do not leave this area without getting a taste of Soul Food. We’ve eaten here 7 times trying something new with each meal and... never once were we disappointed. Each server we had was friendly and accommodating. I really can’t say what my favorite mealwas they were all so delicious but on our last day in the area I remembered to take a photo. Lloyd have mercy is right! The restaurant was nice and clean. Great atmosphere and great service. Prices fair. Hubby had the... pork chop dinner and I had the grouper blackened and garlic shrimp. Two choice of sides. Scrumptious all around. Their sweetpotato cake great. I forgot to mention the fried green tomatoes. They have a special sauce with them. So so good.
