Met my friend Mickey Rourke from Hollywood there. We had high tea and talked about his new film, boxing and his tiny tiny... dogs. We had a wonderful experience at high tea; booking for a group of 8 was so easy from my first call to them confirming our... reservation to our actual arrival, and they were so accommodating to the specific diets of our guests from gluten free to vegan.Upon arrival each person we encountered was knowledgeable, kind and incredibly professional. We’ve always wanted to try the afternoon tea experience at the King Edward hotel after passing by the sign outside the hotel... many times. We are so glad we did! Service was great. We tried the Darjeeling 2nd Flush and Chocolate Truffle teas, and orderedfrom the Garden menu with a glass of Prosecco. Both teas were absolutely delicious and we were so happy to see a vegetarianoption. The scones were my favourite. Read more
We came for high tea on a sunday afternoon. The actual ballroom was a little bit dated, and the tea was not too flavourful. The... sandwiches overall were great, however, and we also ordered a glass of champagne. Overall I believe it is not worth the price,but still a fun little lunch if you haven't experienced high tea before. Read more
Excellent food and tea selections for the Spring Afternoon Tea menu. I arrived quite late (party of 1) after being reassured on... the phone that I would be able to enjoy the meal. Upon arrival at around 415 (they close at 5pm) it was quite hectic as manypatrons were leaving and need to settle their bills. I was left unattended for over 15 mins. As I started to get annoyed and waswondering if I should just leave, a rush of servers came to my attention. The manager also came to apologize for the wait andacknowledged her role in the incident. She also offered a discount right away graciously. I am very glad I stayed since the foodwas delicious (see my pictures) and other than the start, the service impeccable and attentive.
