This place is awesome! I know, it's cliche but it really is. Me and a friend were in Tulsa for a concert and found The Tavern... by happenstance. The staff here is super nice and very knowledgeable. The menu is great I got the trout and it was to die for! I will definitely go back the next time I am in town. Tw enthusiastic thumbs up!! Read more
We came because we saw the shrimp dip picture on the reviews. She definitely recommends as it is now a new favorite. I got the... grilled cheese with tomato bisque. (It came out HOT - so I recommend to let it cool down, or you’ll lose a few tastebuds). Theserver asked if I wanted to add bacon or ham, and I said yes. Definitely tasted so good & I’m grateful she asked, I did notknow we could add ham. The environment was very chill & calm. Perfect for conversation and catching up. At the end they gave usthese cute little post cards with our receipt. We will for sure be back! (Plus the restaurant reminded us of Peaky Blinders????) Read more
My friends and I ended up on a spontaneous mini-crawl and came here on recommendation from a nearby bartender. We were not... prepared (or really dressed) to walk into somewhere so fancy, but they didn't bat an eye. We had some very spicy mac & cheese,excellent bacon caramel popcorn and a sweet, fluffy strawberry shortcake concoction. The Broken Compass cocktail unfortunatelytasted like straight lemon juice to me, but when I couldn't drink it at all, they comped it, which was very classy. Our veryfriendly and knowledgeable waitress guided me to the Captain's Daiquiri, which was still citrus-forward but infinitely moreenjoyable. My friend also had an excellent drink I have forgotten the name of, but it tasted precisely like a grapefruit. One star for the service and other for the bartender. This was probably one of the worst hamburgers that I have ever eaten. ... The board was decent. My bacon burger came out.a few minutes later and the burger and the French fries were cold. The bun wasdry and too big for the burger.$32 and an $8 tip. Sent my board to the back to take to go but the waitress never came back. Itwas so dark as well but my taste buds could see that the money spent was not worth it. Walked out disappointed in the food andthe service. Whew… what an experience. Note: I never send my food back. I figure if I am not getting good service all theway round why risk it? Was not disappointed at all, first time.Great service from bartender's and staff.My friend and I sat at the bar for at least an... hour or so. Cocktails and appetizers very tasty. I wanted a skinny spicy Margarita(not on menu), the bartender whipped itup...it was perfect. Read more
I was absolutely thrilled we decided on the Tavern for dinner tonight. We decided to sit outside- the weather was amazing and... perfect for patio dining. Our server was absolutely amazing- I don’t remember her name but she was exceptional and so sweet.The drinks were excellent… but the food. Good lord the food was some of the best food I’ve ever had! I got the scallops witha side of grilled artichokes and my husband got the friend chicken. Literally the best scallops I’ve ever had- the mushroomrisotto was incredible and the mushrooms on top were so tasty! My hubby loved his meal too! I wanted to try the crème brûléebut I was so stuffed we decided to wait till next time. Thank you to the staff at the tavern for an absolutely wonderful diningexperience we will definitely back for another date night- im dying to try the beet pasta . Really great place with a more masculine atmosphere and decor. Matches the name very well. The food is beautiful and very... delicious and portions are big enough to share in my opinion. Maybe not if you're super hungry. They also have a fun drink listthat we enjoyed. Pictured is the pork chop, roasted chicken, one of their unique cocktails, and the huge brownie we shared fordessert.
