Just popped into this place and learned that it is under new ownership. The place is very nice and the guys behind the counter... were friendly and attentive. I ordered a deli hero and chicken parm sandwich. Both were great! The sauce on the chicken parmwas quite good and the fresh mozzarella on the hero was really good too! I believe these guys are trying very hard to succeed, but are just not there yet. I asked for a chicken cutlet and fresh... mozzarella sandwich. For me a chicken cutlet in these parts is chicken breast pounded, spices, and breaded then fried or placedin the oven the result is crispy on the outside and succulent, juicy on the inside. What I got was a slice of chicken pan friedon the griddle and the result was a bit dry not juicy. The bread was not good crusty italian bread even thou the location is astones throw from Hoboken, king of the best bread in the northeast. I also had a slice to go. The slice was ok. Its a new place...First time ordering from here. The meatball & pasta pizza was out of this world!. The plain personal pie was... also good and my son ate the whole pie!!!!. The salad was really fresh with flavor. I will order again from this place forsure!!!!!!!! Read more
It is sad when really nice people produce a terrible product. 1. Most of the items do not look fresh. 2. All the cold cuts are... oxidized and old 3. Meats are cut razor thing, tasteless, and portions are skimpy. 4. Bread generic and soft 5. Sandwich was notprepared as ordered Best advise I have to give is go to one of the Italian delis in Hoboken and retool. Wish the best so otherscan provide better reviews. Read more

I visited this place before venturing to Washington park...loved this place for it's unpretentiousness. Went in and immediately... was offered a genuine greeting. Ready made opt or made to order(MTO) available. Ordered ready made 2 slices of expertlypresented Alfredo sauce with ham, and a perfectly cooled drink for $8.
