Surprisingly good food for a "tavern". All the food had a lot of flavor and menu has tons of options. The poke bowl was actually... spicy and super fresh. Side of street corn was delicious as well. We visited around 8:00 for a late dinner. We each got soup and salad. I had the soup of the day, which was clam chowder. It was... really tasty but the portion was small and sadly it was lukewarm. My husband had the chili. His was not very hot either and hebarely felt like finishing it, though it was small for the prices of nearly $8 for a “crock” of soup, really a cup of soup.We had Caesar salad which was simple and had grated Parmesan rather than shaved. Very poor. Half of the food was cold and didn’t have much flavor. The chicken tenders were overcooked and dry. The draft beer... lines need cleaned properly. You could still taste the soap they use. The atmosphere is great and food is usually good. I decided on a true pub classic. Fish and chips which should be a staple if... your a pub. For $18.00 I expected more then what was received. The fish was curled and appeared to be a big onion ring. Tartarsauce had a pink/orange film on it as if it had sat somewhere for a while. For $18.00 you expect a bit more food. At least onemore peice of fish and a few more fries. Fries were good as well as the ice tea. The food was good, but there was a miscommunication that resulted in lots of extra food coming to our table (like $40ish). When... we explained the miscommunication to the person bringing our check she said, "luckily it reheats well". A bit discouraging thatthere was no interest in making it right. (BTW... The miscommunication was that our server told us to order for two of our kidswho were at another table, and that they wouldn't have their order taken...
