To be completely honest? Overpriced Mexican food with a nice ambiance that caters to tasteless Santa Clarita locals. Sorry,... not sorry. I had the sabor (chicken) enchiladas plate, which comes with a microscopic portion of rice and beans. Theenchiladas themselves were just OK — not gross or anything, but definitely nothing spectacular. Also, they don’t have anysalsa anything remotely close to “spicy.” I asked for the spiciest salsa they have, and the liquid provided had pretty muchno spice whatsoever. I eventually had to ask for a habanero pepper or at least a serrano to satisfy me…my server (who wasnice enough) could not find a habanero but was able to produce a serrano, which helped a bit with the lack of spice. The onesaving grace is that the margaritas are HUGE — I was feeling happy after just one but ordered a second because the foodwasn’t that great. Oh, and to top it all off, you have to pay $3 for chips and salsa. Go to La Cocina for better (andcheaper!) Mexican food — and complimentary chips and salsa as well as *actually* spicy “spicy” salsa (upon request) — inthe Santa Clarita Valley. Read more

A friend of ours highly recommended this place. Being that we have a vacation home in Baja, and love gourmet Mexican food I... figured we'd give it a try. It was crowded and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. The staff was attentive andfriendly. We ordered the chips and salsa which you are charged for. They are generous with refills however. That being said Ifelt the chips were subpar and the salsa was ok. I would skip them if I went back. Next we ordered the house Margarita whichwas huge but odd. There wasn't enough ice to make it cold. The salt on the rim was barely there and the whole thing tasted likea cheap jug mix, not fresh at all. I gave mine to my husband. For dinner I ordered the carnitas which were wonderfullyprepared, tender and flavorful. They fall apart on your fork. My husband ordered chicken tacos which were standard fare, nothingspecial. The bill was a whopping $100 for two. I feel that pretty much says it all. I can get lobster, or a gourmet five coursefarm to table meal with wine for that in Baja. Read more

Came w/ my fiancé, it was a wonderful experience because of the customer service and great food. You have options to sit inside... or outside. This spot can get busy, we waited ~20/25 mins for a table, so plan accordingly. Suitable for all parties; family, business, or dates. We had ceviche, street tacos, and Nutella churros w/ ice cream. The shrimp street tacos are the best! Read more

This restaurant was decorated so nice, it's an old Mexico style. Very nice, I plan to bring my family here. I find it hard... to enjoy eating Mexican food out cause I usually can make it better at home. But the flavors and food was amazing! The salsaand guacamole were delicious! I ordered the skinny enchiladas and their green sauce was bomb!! Haha I will definitely be goingback and have told my friends about it! Read more

We were lucky to stumble upon Sabor Cocina Mexicana after another restaurant in the same shopping center. we had crossed the... entire SCV to visit was unexpectedly closed. And how lucky we were to do so. I mean Tuesday's is typically our Mexican foodnight, never Friday nights...but there we were discovering a fine dining establishment with really (really) tasty vegetarianoptions! My wife and I ordered the 2 different kinds of vegetarian tacos (Papa...potato, and Hongos...portobello mushrooms.)These were both super delicious! Often times the vegetarian option is token...I mean nice that they have it but an afterthought. Not here...so much artistry and flavor went into the presentation and food. They also offer a veggie burrito, a brussels sideand plantains. I'm guessing they can make some of their other dishes vegetarian on request (Enchiladas?) and our only wish wasthat there were more vegetarian things to choose from. As delicious as these tacos were it would have been nice to have otheroptions. That having been said I can't emphasize enough how delicious these tacos were and we will definitely come back and eatthem again. The staff was also super friendly and it was a nice up-scale place to eat in. (With a large outdoor seating area ifyou're someone who likes the elements. Read more

Good Margaritas, check. Epic Mole con Pollo, check. Amazing Enchiladas, check. Been here twice. I'll work on going more often.... This Mole is a hair on the spicy side with authentic rich flavors. Love it. After a long week, one margarita will hit thatspecial reset button on your tired soul. Two will help you forget why the week was so long. Three, well, we don't speak ofanything past two you champion. Read more
