Met the owner? she is amazing. Had incredible beer. Had the 2nd most delicious burger I?ve ever had? the High-5 Burger? this is... a delicious treat with parmesan, savory beef patties grilled to perfection. Just an amazing environment. Wasn?t planning on going to Mav?s Tap House. I was downtown and the place I was heading to was closed, but I had already paid... for parking so I googled ?lunch near me? and Mav?s popped up right around the corner. Beer is not my thing and I am never sureI?m welcome in a place where profit is based on drinking, but hey, the meter is running. No waiter, just the poor bartenderrunning the place. I order at the bar and the guy is very friendly and eager to help so I order a basic burger and fries. Thefries are thin and crispy and the burger is spot on. I love the grilled crispy cheese on top, it?s a perfect little touch thatI?ve never seen before. Bravo! The Bartender goes out of his way to make sure I?m happy so I?m going to drop all my existentialpretentions and say, yes, he made me happy. Oh happy chance! Bartender was very kind & pleasant, huge tap list, but nothing for the beer geek. Having a ton of taps is great if you have a... good curator, but this isn?t a place for beer seekers. They stock some Great Notion, which was nice to see. Don?t get the happyhour fries. For just $1 more the burger comes with more than half. Friend felt very ripped off. Hope they?ve changed that since.Was dead empty when we went, but looks like they?re doing ok by the reviews. No hate as i wish them success, but seriously hopethey get a beer curator that is in love with the craft because I?d like it to be a spot for good beer.
