Our first visit. We sat at the bar, the service was great! We both had the fried grouper and fries. Excellent! We weren't... expecting such great taste and quality. It's located next to a marina and the bar space is really cool, 1/2 inside and 1/2outside. There is awesome art inside and it's dog friendly to boot! Definitely will go again when we are in Florida. Nice quaint, cozy eatery with good food and nice friendly staff. Crab spread w/chips appetizer was a bit on the bland side, but... the Grouper Rueben and the Fish & Chips were absolutely on point. 2nd visit to The Old Salty Dog Venice was absolutely perfect. I had the Big Catch Fish Sandwich.....delicious. My wife had the Maui Wow Wee Burger and she loved everything about it. Aiden was our server and he was spot on during our entire visit..! Read more

The Mrs and I stopped in for lunch after spending the morning looking at cars. Clean restaurant with a nice view. Service was... great and I had the chance to change my Salty Dog into a very good chili Salty Dog! It was great. The Mrs had the shrimp basketand really enjoyed it as well. Great atmosphere! We were outside on the deck. Boat seats as barstools-so cool! Our food was good, service excellent! I'll... attach pictures of the menu. Seemed expensive compared to other places, but review my menu pictures and see for yourself. Iwould give 3/5 stars for prices, 5/5 food, 5/5 for service & atmosphere. Friendly neighborhood environment at the bar. The kitchen was quick in the late afternoon on a Saturday. Tell your friends that... you survived eating a deep-fried hot dog topped with bacon, cheese, etc.! Read more

Outdoor deck on the water is nice to watch the boats and the staff was very friendly during our visit. The food is fine for bar... food but the french fries are excellent. They are crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. A good place to stop for happyhour on a weekday, it ends at 6pm so plan to be a bit early. Read more
