Our family has been using Beamsville for years. We order often. Sometimes directly from them, sometimes on skip. Tonight we... ordered skip and had an awful experience with the girl who answered the phone.(she wouldn't give her name) We placed a 6 piecehaddock order with large fries, and when our food same it was just fish, literally just fish. We called and they said theyforgot to give it to the driver. They literally admit it was their fault. The girl says they can't get our fries to us and thereis nothing she can do. She told us they don't do credits or anything. (And skip said that it's the restaurants problem) We askedfor a contact for the manager and we were told "She's in tomorrow but you can't contact her " This has been a total awfulexperience. The employee was so rude, we called 20 minutes before closing for take-out and the first thing the employee said on the phone... was we close in 20 minutes with attitude. So my husband said so you can't place an order, the employee ended up taking our orderas long as we would be there before 8pm. Which is fine since we are locals, when we arrived the employee was rude to us then andeven turned away a customer 5 minutes before closing and was rude to the customer trying to place an order. I bought a single order of fish and chips and the wait time was not 15 min. like I was told but more 25 min. They were kind and... brought it out to the car. Very nice. Got home and the fish and chips were a good size, bonus. However there was nocoleslaw, no tarter sauce and no ketchup. Bummer as the tartar sauce makes the meal taste better. Disappointed!! We have been loyal Beamsville Fish and Chips clients for roughly 3 years.... EVERY... SUNDAY... NIGHT!!! unless they are closed.... Always order a 3 piece Haddock and Fries (this is the 3 pc we received last Sunday). We have always throughly enjoyed our mealsthere and would always recommend them. The past few weeks the fish has been horrible compared to what we have come to expect.Chips are always on point so cannot complain about them, but the fish portions have been 1/2 the size that we usually get and itis dry. You will notice that it is on a baking sheet as we have always heated them up after the kids have gone to bed and havenever had a problem. We contacted them through messenger, and we did receive an instant response and it started out verypositive as we were really only wanting them to know that their product was not meeting their normal standards. She asked us forthe order and how we had paid so she could fix it the next day. I gave her the information and let her know that I had alsoadded a tip as we always do for the kids working there. Her final question was what temperature did you heat it at? I told herthat this was right out of the box and that we were not looking for a refund just to let them know incase they had changedrecipes, suppliers, cooks, etc..... NO RESPONSE after that. Yes the food was disappointing for the last few weeks..... butcustomer service is more disappointing at this point. Now on the hunt for a new fish and chip joint. Been ordering there for the last five years. Never again!!! Only received half my order to start. They would not replace the... whole order so our family could eat at the same time. So i had to wait another 20 minutes for mine and apparently i got thechild size. And when i called back i had to listen to some 16 year old who wouldn?t let me get a word in edge wise. Great place for some takeout fish. Huge portions. This is my leftovers from a 3 piece Haddock and chips. Yummy. Lunch tomorrow!
