If I could give this place zero stars I would. We decided to try a new Mexican restaurant instead of our usual since we were in... the area and so we stopped by here right before the dinner rush. We ordered our food and the Carne Asada tacos and the CarneAsada torta as well as the Carnitas tacos once they came out Looked gray, we decided just to go ahead and give it a try and weboth took one maybe two bites from our meals and decided that something just was off. We ended up leaving without finishing ourdinner and not even 10 minutes later we were both in the Walmart parking lot up the street throwing up as well as when we gothome. We should've trusted our gut and not ate the food but it was a lesson learned. We will not be returning back. Read more

The food here is great and authentic. You can tell they really take care to select fresh ingredients. The location and... ambiance could be better, but 100% worth it for the great food. Nice bonus is a small grocery inside with good produce. Themole here is incredible. Read more

Have lived in Wentzville for 6 years and had never been to Los Portales until we went out with a friend about a month ago...her... idea to meet there. We really enjoyed it! Staff was friendly, food was GREAT at a decent price. We went back again this weekendto try other items from their vast menu. Very satisfied again. Only problem I can point out is the parking lot on the southeastcorner made me a little nervous maneuvering. Read more

Drinks were very fresh tasting, chips were warm and the salsa was bright and flavorful. Interior is nice and clean but still... resembles a gas station inside and out, making parking out front unorthodox but dident effect us negatively. Service was great, she was very friendly and polite. Food was hot and tasty. Good value of the dollar thus I will be back for another 32ozmargarita. Sorry for the blurry interior picture I was having camera issues. Read more

Do you like warm chips? This place has them! They give ya a big ol basket of warm chips… it’s like the chips are giving you... a French kiss… and it is good! How’s the service you might ask? Our waiter was witty and willing to help us with all ourorders! Then the food arrived. The main course…. We had burritos and margaritas and it was a real party… both in ourstomachs and in this amazing restaurant! If you’re looking for authentic Mexican cuisine between Topeka, Kansas andCleveland, Ohio; look no further than Los Partales! Read more

Some of the most authentic Mexican food in the STL area ... this coming from someone that has been outside of STL and knows what... real mexican food is...and if you think El Maguey is mexican food you're strongly mistaken. It's such a charming homey place. They have a bar, plenty of seating, a little grochery, outdoor seating, fresh panquesita, aqua frescas and real heavy icy coldchalices...not mugs...solid frosty chalice. Oh also Coronaritas with fullsize Coronas instead of the baby one they serve atother places...cough cough El Maguey. This place used to be a gas station and behind the bar they still have the originalcoolers where you can even take some drinks to go. They treat me and my girlfriend like one of their own. I couldn't rate thisplace any higher. LPs is the place to be. Read more

This place is in an old convenience store remodeled. I had veggie fajitas, no dairy. Great! Hubby had burrito with beef and... shrimp. Great! Price reasonable. Good to go here! Clean bathroom. Read more
