The chili at Skyline lacks any sort of nuance, instead carrying the majority of its flavor via a heroic amount of salt and a bit... of cinnamon. It seems like, for the most part, good chili is reserved primarily for local cook-offs and competitions.Unfortunately, the chili here does nothing to challenge this trend. Heard that Cincy was known for this joint. If they are, they should get better publicists. There is nothing unique, delicious or... spectacular about the food quality. If you love the taste of chili eat here because you'll be burping this stuff for hours. Hotdogs were mediocre cheap dogs, boiled, and the chili spaghetti was also terrible. I've probably had worse food before but damnedif I can remember when. Wait staff was very friendly. But that food. When two hungry travelers leave half of it on the table youknow there's a problem. I believe this place deserves 5 stars for several reasons: 1. Great service- very friendly waitress 2. Yes, there is a weird... clove taste, but, in my opinion, I like it!! It would probably take like 2-3 more times to get used to it, so I can see theapply for locals but, it is extremely distinct taste that I can see why some people don?t like this chili. 3. It?s ridiculouslycheap and you can choose your size! All-in-all, if I go back to the Ohio area, I?d definitely get it again. Plus, I?m aWisconsin girl so the literal mound of cheese is glorious!! Drive thru, to-go, and dine in! Generous portions. Staff was friendly. My server was busy but there was plenty of cleaning for... staff not busy with customers. Manager needs to make sure the floor and tables are immaculately clean. Only reason for notgetting 5 stars. Read more
Usually take out from here. Decided to stop and dine-in on our way home. The service was great. My husband got 2 coneys and said... they were the worst Skyline coneys he's ever had. They were loaded with cheese but he could barely tell there was any chili onthem. Read more
