Excited at first, but ultimately just disappointing- Came in here with a bunch of hungry friends and had a good first... impression of the overall restaurant. Menu looked really good too, with a great variety and semi-decent prices. The food thoughwas just disappointing. I ordered two chicken tacos and two soft shell chicken empanadas with black beans and rice, and thewhole meal was just bland. No spices, no flavour, just nothing. The chicken tasted like it was boiled. The sour cream tastedlike plain old yogurt, and the beans tasted like something you'd get off a grocery store shelf. It honestly felt like when I hadCovid and couldn't taste anything, because there literally was no flavour. 1st time here. Attended Restaurant for Cinco De Mayo. $5 margaritas. I had a Beef Burrito. My partner had Carne Asada. The... burrito was out of this world. Black beans was ok. We walked in at 8:50 PM, that's important in a little bit. We were greeted and immediately seated at a table in the bar area.... The place was mostly empty, with a few tables and some people sitting at the bar. Chips and salsa were bought to the table formy wife and me. The bartender was also our server, and she was prompt! We ordered avocado fries as an appetizer. I got the BigBorderrito made with chicken. The kitchen was turning out hot and fresh food. Avocado fries were piping hot and our entreeswere simply delicious! We noticed that the restaurant was in cleanup mode, so we asked what time they were closing today. 9:00was their new closing time! Nobody looked at us funny for walking in the door 10 minutes before closing, no griping, and nosnide remarks from anybody! We apologized for our late arrival and she told us she was happy to have us dine with themtonight!
