Very vibrant atmosphere and decor. The staff could be more friendly. They were just not very happy-appearing. Chips were good... but I could taste the oil they were fried in. The salsa was good but the side of "white salsa" that I hoped was queso Blanco, was ranch. Not cool. The Carne asada was very good. The meat, that is. The flour tortillas were not; they had that non-homemadeaftertaste. Refried beans good, rice meh. Of course, I have high standards, hailing from Arizona and New Mexico, so what was Iexpecting in Kentucky? No offense KY, just saying. Read more

We were referred in trying this restaurant and it exceeded our expectations. The food was authentic, very good and plentiful- we... could have shared a platter! Guess what - we are having a Mexican leftover breakfast! Pricing was very reasonable. Read more

Servers don't necessarily speak English but they were attentive and polite. Food servings were large and food was good. Run by... Mexicans and the interior was really beautiful. Read more

We were in town to visit the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum. We visited El Jalisco Mexican restaurant. Highly... recommended. My wife and I ordered the fajitas for two but there was enough food for four! Excellent food and great service! Ifyou're in the area and like Mexican food, this is the place! Very reasonable prices. El Jalisco is a visually exciting spot to get a tasty, hearty meal. Their food is delicious, and the servings are generous.... There's a large menu to choose from, and you can't go wrong! I crave the house dip they serve with chips, and Salsa. TheMargaretas are a must try! For the guests going to The Ark, I would highly recommend eating early so you'll get hungry for someauthentic Mexican food on the way out! The atmosphere will compliment the day, and the meals will satisfy a hungry adventurersappetite! If you're fed up with terrible food service in this state, don't worry, these folks are on point! Fast, and attentiveservers across the board. Read more

El Jalisco was a very good Mexican restaurant. They had all you could want from enchiladas to beer. The enchiladas were very... good and had a mild spice to them. The atmosphere felt like we were in Mexico. Hand carved seats and very colorful overall. Theyalso had a wall with money from tons of different countries. Really good place to go after finishing a day at the Ark. If youare interested there is enclosed patio seating with a good view. Read more
