Had a great experience in this unique restaurant. Greeted by James and he immediately made us feel at home and explained the... menu and drinks. The menu is quirky and made us laugh. Had to try the Russian Peanuts and the burgers they’re known for.Simply delicious and memorable. After eating myself into brain fog, left the restaurant without my phone. Bubi's is a televised classic. Been going here for a decade or more. This amazing restaurant has some of the best and most... affordable food in the city. If anyone from Bubi's is reading this, please, PLEASE, never go back to waffle fries or the double wedge fries. Regular cut... Dillon fries should be the standard side, with the option to get them plain. People who don't know what Dillon fries are mightmiss out on arguably the best thing on the menu. I stopped going once the waffle fries became the standard, but I just wentyesterday and the regular Dillon fries are exactly why I went so often years ago. The garlic sauce is still to die for. Nice and affordable place to have delicious food and some buzz. Near to university of windsor. For vegetarians they have pretty... good burger, pizza sticks with cheese and burritos. Drink options are also nice and strong. Staff is so friendly and evenbeautiful ???? Taste : 8/10, Ambience : 10/10, Service : 9/10, Pricing : 9/10 Updating as of Aug 2022: Food quality is not asbefore and also seating arrangements changed so not that great ambience as before. Was a regular customer and loved their burgers but hadn't been there in about 5 or 6 years. The 6 foot dandelion growing in the... step of the entrance should have been a clue and the inside hadn't been swept in a while. The appetizer and drinks we decentbut my 1/3 pound burger was under a 1/4 of a pound for fun and was tasteless but really chewy. When I told this to the managerhe informed me about shrinkage during cooking and a lot of other BS. He had had this conversation many times before. A landmark restaurant in Windsor Bubi's like many other restaurants has undoubtedly had a tough time since covid hit. We arrived... around lunch time on a Saturday and were quickly seated. It took quite awhile to get our food but I'm guessing they are shortstaffed which is an issue plaguing many restaurants and retail businesses so totally understandable. Although it would have beennice if the appetizer came out before the main as opposed to after. Please note they do not have a kids menu. Nor will theyserve you a half portion of something. This strikes me as a bit odd. How hard is it to create a few items at a smaller size(like chicken fingers) and call it a kids menu? I ordered the pulled pork sandwich which was really good except please note itis not a sandwich per se but the meat is on top of a piece of bread. The serving size was pretty generous though so really noneed for another piece of bread on top of it I suppose . I recommend the pizza crusts and if you do get them make sure to order"Windsor style" which includes shredded pepperoni, mushrooms and cheese. I would recommend Bubi's (just maybe not for youngkids ) and feel bad for these owners and workers as I know they must be struggling. Seems like they're doing some renovations, but it doesn't affect the food or service. Burgers tasted great, and the service was... top notch too. Surprisingly they weren't that busy for dinner time on a Sunday. Definitely a good place for a great tastingburger Read more
