I?m giving two stars cause I was a long time customer Service is great but the food quality isn?t to par. I understand prices... go up but I spent $187 for take out - I had to throw out all my chicken dishes. Completely covered in cornstarch , it had aweird chemical smell stringy slime and undercook it?s was disgusting. After 20 years I?m saying good buy to choice of theorient Read more

This place is GARBAGE! I don't know what they're not putting in their recipes, but the flavors are either missing or all wrong.... Every single thing we ordered tasted bad! We pretty much threw everything out after two bites. So sad. $100 worth of food andit wasn't even worth it! Read more

I have no Idea how is their google rating is 4.4 should be atleat 5. Me and my family went there one Monday night 6 months ago.... We are the regular customers now. My kids want me to go there every Monday for dinner. Very busy place. The phone never stopringing for take out on Mondays. Amazing food and portions are really big too. We try different food for each visit. The managerBurt Yap is very nice and knowledgeable person about the food and service also very very friendly. Each time we go there Burtmodify the food for our desire. The place is very clean and nice atmosphere. I always tell about this place to my friends andfamilies and get lots of compliments from them too. Keep up the good work Burt and the team. Read more

Ordered Singapore noodles, ginger beef, chicken with peanut and chili sauce, peppered ribs, and shrimp fried rice for takeout.... Food was fresh and tasty, with the exception of the ginger beef, which was excessively sweet and dried out (not as described onthe menu). It tasted as if the beef had been fried several hours in advance. I would not order this dish again. Everything elsetasted good. One star deducted for the beef and also for lack of help from the person answering the phone. I asked if the peanutchicken had peanuts in it since that is what I was looking for, and was not told that it was just peanut butter in the sauce. The person taking the order was in a rush even though I called soon after they opened in the afternoon. However, would orderagain. Discount for cash payment. Read more

I?m surprised reviews are so high! This place is below mediocre. I know Vaughan doesn?t have a lot of options but this shouldn?t... be the ?choice?. I?ve gone here a few times to give it the benefit of the doubt but it has consistently been bad. Will probablynot go here again unless I?m super desperate. Staff are VERY rude every time, and you can tell staff do not want to be there(*ahem* opens at 3pm on a weekend??) their ho fun noodles are ALWAYS mushy?WHY?!!! George?s general Tao doesn?t taste anythinglike general Tao. Their flavours are just not at the calibre of other Chinese restaurants in Mississauga which isn?t that faraway with the new Hwy 427. I like to support local business but I just can?t support a business who has no customer service, charges 25 cents for each hot sauce packet (not even the 1st was free - seriously??), and whose food leaves a ?bad? taste in mymouth. I miss the days of Asian Legend. Save yourself a trip and go somewhere else!! Read more

Very good food. Not as unhealthy as ?standard? Chinese food, so if you?re looking for cheap crispy heavily breaded food, then... you may not like this. They give lots of meat and veggies compared to places where it?s mainly rice or noodles. Food is veryfresh and good quality. It?s a bit more expensive than other Chinese food restaurants, but for the reason I just mentioned. Read more

Excellent Chinese food. Been going here for ages and recently dined in for lunch. I enjoyed one of their lunch combos that comes... with choice of main (I had ginger beef), plain fried rice and choice of chop suey or vegetables. I also added a wonton soup (sogood). Everything was delicious. Highly recommend. Read more

There were 13 of us out for a birthday dinner and heard great reviews on the restaurant from a couple of friends who love the... place....they were spot on. First off, Burt was an incredible host for the night, great recommendations that everyone loved andgreat conversation. Unlike other Chinese restaurants, they prepare everything upon ordering...none of this pre-made food thatis sitting on hot plates in the kitchen! That sold me forever. You could taste the freshness with every meal that cameout. Don't judge the restaurant from the outside, looks like an old restaurant, but beautiful inside...very clean, andwell-kept. There is a second location, of the same name....with different ownership, so this review is only for the Martingrove location. Read more
